Commentaires : This updated version, created especially for the Menier Chocolate Factory, takes an informal and entertaining look at the history of American musical theatre, lampooning and spoofing current and contemporary musicals as well as targeting actors, directors, composers and writers.
Commentaires longs: Bang up-to-date, this time the songs included a plaintive Hannah Waddingham-type singing “Send in the Crowds, Where are the Crowds?”, and from Jersey Boys “Walk Like a Man, Sing Like a Girl”; The King & I (“which looks awfully small, At the Albert Hall”); Oliver (“Considerably high-priced, Considerably not for the family”), Lion King (“A story so bizarre-y, It’s Hamlet on safari”), and Spring Awakening (“There’s a moment when you’re screwed, Because the lyrics are too rude”.
